Single Boiler, Heat Exchanger or Dual Boiler
The way a Lelit is built decides how it fails. The Anna and Victoria are single-boiler machines, so brewing and steaming share one boiler and any thermostat or element fault is felt immediately. The Mara X is a heat-exchanger design, which relies on a correct flushing routine and a healthy boiler. The Bianca has separate boilers, which means two heating circuits to test, as well as the flow-control paddle.

Looking After a Lelit
Descale on a schedule matched to your water, use filtered water where you can, and back-flush the group as the manual recommends. Wipe the shower screen and portafilter basket after each session, and never leave the machine on for days without a reason. Boilers that stay hot around the clock scale faster.
If a machine has gone a year or more without attention, a full service is worthwhile, particularly for E61 machines, where the group gasket and valve seals benefit from routine replacement.
